The National Innovation Visa is intended for a small group of candidates with internationally recognized achievement and strong evidence of value to Australia. It is not a general skilled migration or passive investment route.
Who this route suits
Exceptional researchers, entrepreneurs, investors, creatives, and other high-achieving candidates.
Nomination or nomination exempt
Most applicants need to be nominated by a state or territory government or Austrade. Some holders of qualifying prestigious awards may be exempt from nomination.
Evidence standard
The evidence requirement is high. Simply having a distinguished career is not always sufficient. The evidence of achievement and value to Australia must be documented and compelling.
Important to know
Keep the invitation and evidence standard prominent. This is not a pathway for most skilled migrants.
