Rural Community Immigration Pilot
The pilot connects participating communities, designated employers, and skilled candidates. A qualifying job offer and community recommendation are central to the route, while local priorities differ by community.
General information only. Community availability and requirements change.
Participating communities
Specific rural and smaller communities across Canada participate. Each community has designated employers and local priorities. Community availability and quotas can change between intake rounds.
What is required
Qualifying work experience, a job offer from a designated employer in a participating community, a community recommendation letter, and language ability meeting program standards are all required.
Connection to the community
Unlike purely employer-driven programs, the RCIP requires genuine intent to settle in the specific community. The community recommendation process evaluates this.
